La Cordierra Blanca, Ancash Peru

After being stuck on the coast for the past year I figured it was about time to change the scenery a bit. I quickly discovered that Ancash was just what I needed, cool crisp air, strong Andean sun and some incredible mountain scenery. One place I must recommend to see is the White Mountain Range (La Cordierra Blanca). There you can see some of the most scenic mountains views on the planet. Not good for skiing however, but mountain range offers some world class climbing and trekking. Picture: Mt. HuascarĂ¡n (elev. 22,205 ft- 6768 m)
Here is a decent picture I took of Mt. HuascarĂ¡n, the 3rd highest mountain in South America. Below it lies several torquise colored glacier lakes.
